  • Time to make: 2.4 hours to 4 hours for the cowl, 3.9 hours to 6.6 hours for the scarf

Sizes

Finish Rows Finished, about
Scarf 150 20 cm wide, 165 cm long
Cowl 88 20 cm wide, 97 cm around

The same fabric, worked to two different lengths. The cowl is the scarf, shorter and joined.

You must already know: chain, single crochet, back loop only, working flat in rows. This pattern does not teach you to crochet — it teaches you to make this one object.

You will need: yarn needle, scissors. Yarn: Worsted or aran (CYC 4–5).

Two things this file does not state. Yarn amount and hook size are left blank on purpose — neither can be worked out from a stitch count, and no physical make has been recorded to measure them from. Size and time above are calculated from the counts, not measured. Every count was worked out twice, independently, and matched before the file was allowed to exist.
