Kroche Pumpkin Mug-Hugger

$7.00

One pumpkin mug hugger with a stem, and a cuff that slips over the handle.

What you get

  • A 5-page PDF, A4 and US Letter both included
  • 14 numbered rounds, each ending in the stitch count you should have
  • A stitch chart drawn from the same counts as the written pattern
  • 5 things that commonly go wrong, and what to do about each

Before you start

  • Skill level: Confident beginner
  • Finished size: coaster about 10 cm (4.0 in) across; the cuff fits a standard mug handle
  • Time to make: about 35 minutes to 55 minutes
  • Assembly: The cuff is worked directly onto the coaster edge. No pieces are sewn together.
  • Terms: US crochet terms throughout.

You must already know: chain, single crochet, working in continuous rounds, working into a chain space. This pattern does not teach you to crochet — it teaches you to make this one object.

You will need: stitch marker, yarn needle, scissors, 15 mm button (optional — see the cuff finishing note). Yarn: Orange, with a little green worsted cotton (CYC 4).

Two things this file does not state. Yarn amount and hook size are left blank on purpose — neither can be worked out from a stitch count, and no physical make has been recorded to measure them from. Size and time above are calculated from the counts, not measured. Every count was worked out twice, independently, and matched before the file was allowed to exist.
